Atomik Clocks it’s a jazzcore band from Firenze, Italy. They are pushing the so-called envelope over the edge to widens the unexplored borders of music.
Some people make music because they need to express their feelings and thoughts, some people make music for fortune and fame. Sometimes this two things are come together, sometimes not.
Art is not always audience friendly. And this is just cool.
Atomik Clocks makes music, they give artistic expression to their untainted feelings.
They made some giant steps forward since their previous release. “Death Funk” kind of reminds me of Frank Zappa.

Released on 11 July 2015, the new EP from the Canadian project eyeswithoutaface brings brutality to the next level. Their rough and contorted mixture of post-industrial electronics with sludge/black/death metal leave the listener without any option, but to love or hate this sonic slaughter. Extreme metal at its best!! Related to Malhavoc, Godflesh and other alike oddities, eyeswithoutaface was formed in 2009 in Toronto, Canada, comprised of current members of Homolka, Kosmograd, John XII, Ancress and more.
Guitarist/singer Fred Lefranc and drummer Ben Delacroix are back with their third installment, a four track EP.
Skid Row are back again. And “We Are The Damned” it’s a kick-ass rock’n’roll anthem, one of the best Skid Row songs they ever delivered. It’s irresistible and unstoppable. As rock music should be. The rest of the EP it’s composed of 3 more rocking heavy metal flavored songs, a quite forgettable balled and 2 solid rock covers: Queens’s “Sheer Heart Attack”, and the Aerosmith’s classic “Rats In The Cellar”. Except the 2 covers, the build-up of this EP it’s similar with the last year released
“Hungry Ghosts”, the first new OK Go studio album in four years, drops in October, but the waiting it’s almost over and till the new album, we’ve got a 4 track EP to hang on to. It were quite long 4 years, OK Go and their fabulous third album,
Belzebass it’s a clubcore duo from Italy, and they delivering some extreme, aggressive s*it, be precocious, it can seriously harm your speakers and through them your ears and finally your brain may get fried. While the mainstream EDM scene is pretty boring, the underground definitively have its revenge! Hardcore take no prisoners!
I tried to dig out some background info about this French band, but I didn’t find too much and the few things I found were in French, not a language I know. Guitarist/singer Fred Lefranc sent me a link to their teaser last December, meanwhile the 5 track EP was officially released. Unfortunately they don’t have a video yet, but fortunately, they put it on-line on the Bandcamp. (While Spotify in some countries it’s not available, on Deezer if you don’t have account, can only listen 30 seconds of each song and not everybody it’s iPhone addicted and have the iTunes applications instaled… So, for promotional purposes YouTube, SoundCloud and Bandcamp are still the best free options available. MySpace it’s a… dead space. 😆 )
Hip hop it’s not actually my cup of tea, but once in a while I’m listening some hip hop as well, have a few favorites and I can appreciate the quality in any genre and style. Cairoglyphs have a cool Oriental/middle East flavor, but the Kansas City based hip-hop artist/producer Ryan Forest merged quite different sounds and styles from dense electronic layers to rap, and from dark, deep house constructions to pounding hip hop beats. Kind of past meets the future, highly danceable, very fluorescent type of music. Dark dance music with content. While IDM and EDM are simply dead labels drained by any meaning and content lately, Ryan Forest proves that the dance music might still have future.
I can think of and go back to several different stories. First of all, reminds me of the story of Cain and Able, the two sons of Adam and Eve. Cain was the first human born and Abel was the first human to die while Cain committed the first murder by killing his brother. On the other hand, directed by Orson Welles release on 5 September 1941, “Citizen Kane” was a drama which explored the life and legacy of the publishing tycoon Charles Foster Kane, played by Welles. Nothing of this are directly related to the latest Thot EP, but then again, everything in this world is somehow related and inter-connected. “Citizen Pain” is in particularly nobody, but he’s everybody and anybody, one of us and each one of us. Even the pain became meaningless nowadays. Or we became insensitive to the suffering of the others… and get comfortable with our own misery.
