Jabba – Vice (2017)

JABBA-Vice-2017

JABBA-Vice-2017 Thundering drums and heavy distorted bass, these are the basic ingredients of Jabba. Sometimes sounds like Motörhead on an acid trip. ‘Mathlete’ might have been a missing track from ‘Ace of Spades’.
Working over a decade on the material of this debut album, must worth something. Still, I’m unsettled with the idea of a punk band with Facebook page. But it’s only my own personal concern! “Vice” is a consistent, restless, literally heavy and noisy garage rock album and if the fans will don’t have to wait another ten years for the next album, Jabba might mean something for a more larger audience. Energy and roll. If you’ll see their name on a poster, don’t miss their gig! And buy their album!! Read more Jabba – Vice (2017)

Zardonic ft. Mikey Rukus – Bring It On (NBC WSOF 2015 Theme) (2015)

Zardonic ft. Mikey Rukus - Bring It On (NBC WSOF 2015 Theme) (2015)

Bring It On 2015 Hip Hop/Rap meets wicked metal with dense electronic support. It’s intense and unstoppable as any genuine anthem should sound. And trust me, it will hit you right in your face and it will hit you hard!
International Electronic Metal Producer ZARDONIC has brought his signature aggressive bass to the the extreme sports and fighting world with his newest single “Bring It On (Feat. Mikey Rukus)”, out now on legendary eOne Music. Not for the feint of heart, the now NBC MMA World Series of Fighting main theme is a hard-hitting, unapologetic electronic metal anthem with distorted extreme guitars and bellicose lyrics from MMA music legend Mikey Rukus.
This is an example of the direction we’re taking for the new Zardonic album on eOne. Working with Mikey Rukus was an absolute pleasure and thanks to James Jeda CEO of Rocktagon Worldwide we put this insane collaboration together four months ago, and now it’s the Main Theme of World Series Of Fighting and is being heard by millions all over the world on NBC. I’m yet to know what it means to be happier than this! – ZARDONIC Read more Zardonic ft. Mikey Rukus – Bring It On (NBC WSOF 2015 Theme) (2015)

Therapy? – Disquiet (2015)

Therapy? - Disquiet (2015)

Therapy? - Disquiet (2015) Believe it or not, but “Disquiet” is the fourteenth studio album by Therapy?. “Teethgrinder” it’s still ringing in my ears like it was yesterday and their 94’s “Troublegum” it’s probably one of the best punk-rock albums ever. Between their fourth and fourteenth album lot of things was going on, but the only thing it’s really matter is that Therapy? are still alive and kicking.
Co-founder drummer Fyfe Ewing left the band in 1996 and he was replaced by Graham Hopkins. Hopkins left the band in 2001 and was replaced next year with Neil Cooper. Although they never delivered a “Troublegum 2” type of success album, Therapy? had a couple of great songs and some really good albums in between. Just for the record, their previous album, the 2012’s “A Brief Crack of Light” it’s a solid, modern rock album. But there’s one thing that kept the band going: the love and the support of their fans.
“Disquiet” it’s definitively a perfect gift for them. And another killer album from a quite under-rated band! Read more Therapy? – Disquiet (2015)

Agnostic Front – The American Dream Died (2015)

Agnostic Front - The American Dream Died (2015)

Agnostic Front - The American Dream Died (2015) The album begins quoting George Carlin: “The reason they call it the American Dream is because you have to be asleep to believe it” which synthesize perfectly the state of facts and the perception of America today. We might consider it a joke, but it’s a deadly serious issue.
If you ask me, I think the American dream was gunned down in Dallas, Texas, at 12:30 PM Central Standard Time on Friday November 22, 1963, but a huge machinery of propaganda made it looks like it was still alive till more recent times. Make no mistakes, we, the citizens of this world, are the victims of manipulation and propaganda both from Vest and from East. I’m living a nightmare because I’m caught in the middle and I was seriously abused by both sides, although believing in the “American dream” kept us alive while the other part made our life a living Hell. Now Hell have no boundaries and it’s hard to tell on which side of the planet the lie it’s bigger…the dream it’s deader. Read more Agnostic Front – The American Dream Died (2015)

Waltari – You Are Waltari (2015)

Waltari - You Are Waltari (2015)

Waltari - You Are Waltari (2015) If you’re nostalgic for the 1989–1991 type of, “The Real Thing” era Faith No More, Waltari definitively it’s your type of band and you will devour their 14th studio album released on February 27, 2015.
The band’s name is a reference to the popular Finnish author Mika Waltari, a favourite author of guitarist Jariot Lehtinen.
Waltari was formed in 1986 in Helsinki, Finland, by Kärtsy Hatakka (vocals and bass), Jariot Lehtinen (guitars) and Sale Suomalainen (drums). Sami Yli-Sirniö joined as second guitarist in 1989.
Their first album entitled “Monk-Punk”, was released in 1991 followed next year by the album “Torcha!” (1992) on which Waltari started blending various musical styles into the sound that would become their own although there are strong similarities with the style and sound of Faith No More.
Their previous studio album, “Below Zero” was released in 2009 followed by a cover album entitled “Covers All” in 2011 – and I have wrote about it – read my review HERE.
The new album, “You Are Waltari” was introduced by the single “Digging the Alien” which also got a music video. Read more Waltari – You Are Waltari (2015)

A Swarm Of The Sun – The Rifts (2015)

A Swarm Of The Sun The Rifts 2015

A Swarm Of The Sun The Rifts 2015 This is the second installment from the Swedish duo A Swarm of the Sun and it will be released on January 30, 2015.
About many musical pieces I heard that people said it’s dark, but trust me, this is actually very dark, dense and depressive. It’s really overwhelming. You have to be in the right mood – state of the mind – to get through of it and enjoy it.
A Swarm of the Sun find their own path of music and their very own sound. It’s a massive wall of sound with subtle elements and a great balance of delicate emotions and pressuring density.
Erik Nilsson and Jakob Berglund – the core members of the band brought in drummer Karl Daniel Lidén to build up this sonic landscape based on smart layering and twisted melancholy. Heaviness and emotions are merged in this nine songs and the result it’s disturbing as an exorcism. In the official promo release they mention that “The Rifts reflects on various implications of a very specific, profound and personal struggle” – and it’s actually really came out of their music, literally you can feel some sort of deep sadness and shattering pain.
The music it’s expressive in a quit realistic way that it simply take you to some other place and bury you there in the end and it take effort to crawl back to the reality of your living-room. Read more A Swarm Of The Sun – The Rifts (2015)

Faith No More – Motherfucker, 5000 copies 7-inch single (2014)

Faith No More - Motherfucker

Keyboardist Roddy Bottum says in a statement: “It feels apt that the first track we’re releasing is ‘Motherfucker,’ a song about accountability. Basically we’ve created, recorded and mixed a new body of work by ourselves and we’re releasing it on our own label. It’s a huge deal for us to only have ourselves to answer to at this point in our career and the song is about that, where the buck stops via the basic imagery of foie gras production, bondage. . .y’know, stuff like that.”
And here we go, we have the very first brand new Faith No More recording since…. Since 1997? Holly cow! And this is so not Faith No More like that it is exactly Faith No More! Read more Faith No More – Motherfucker, 5000 copies 7-inch single (2014)
