Not Only Bass, volume I – free download (2012)

Nu Doar Bas volume I “Nu Doar Bas” – meaning, Not Only Bass, it’s a free album with some of the best romanian producers (Vlad Onu, Alien Pimp, Dudawles, Archer, Dyl, Fane, Mighty Boogie, and Beepo) in drum and bass and dubstep, plus as a bonus a tune from Marginal (featuring Datacode and Alien Pimp). We’ve got 9 tracks, 51 minutes of pumping Glitch-Hop with some contorted wobbling and drops, a chilled, smooth, but electrifying mixture of subtle IDM textures and noisier, drum’n’bass flavored and sometimes dub and drumstep fueled, nowadays fancy contortions. All the tracks have their own sound and taste, although the compilation flows smoothly and flawless. This young producers managed to stay close to the trend with the sound, but simultaneously being creative and adding their own identity to these tracks.
This is just perfect for any worthy after-party and it’s for free, so, turn up the bass ( 😆 !!) grab it and enjoy it, have an awesome, Happy New Year! Read more Not Only Bass, volume I – free download (2012)

Savant – Alchemist (2012)

Savant Alchemist 2012 Norwegian musician and producer Aleksander Vinter, aka Savant, has a long history experimenting with sound, from playing a Yamaha electric organ at age 4 to composing music with such computer programs as eJay and FastTracker. With no formal musical training, he discovered an uncanny ability to spontaneously imagine and then compose original music, oftentimes writing and finishing up to an astonishing 3 songs per day while his personal catalog exceeds 10,000, and he’s only 25. Best known for his prodigious musical output, which now includes 80+ commercial releases and over 40 free downloads, and vivid musical range from EDM, Metal and Glitch all the way to classical piano, has released “Alchemist”, his fifth original album in 13 months, on 12/12/12. DJ 2rip – Annihilating Rhythm 4, free download (2012)

DJ 2rip Annihilating Rhythm 4 free download 2012 Make the last preparation for the New Year’s Eve Party? Get blasted with the long-awaited Annihilating Rhythm 4 mix by DJ 2rip! The mix featured an onslaught of bass with influence from hard & nasty drumstep and electro provided by artists like Figure, Calvertron, Will Bailey, Receptor, Skream, Lazy Rich, and Bloody Beetroots.
DJ 2rip say: “My last mix in this series came out in January of 2011 so this is a very big day to finally be releasing the new Annihilating Rhythm. It didn’t come so late because I was lazy… I had actually made about 9 versions of the mix but ultimately didn’t feel satisfied or complete. Each Annihilating Rhythm tells several stories and are glimpses into not only my feelings at the time, but also what is going on in the greater dance music & DJ culture.
I also pay attention to a lot of elements when it comes to this series. I like to incorporate new material that intrigues people and expands their listening horizons while telling a story. Sometimes new materials that fit the storyline are not readily available so I might throw in some older tracks to both meet that story as well as diversify the mix.” Pump up the volume and bang on this, got yourself one incendiary hour!! Blackburner – Drop Bass Not Bombs (2012)

Blackburner Drop Bass Not Bombs 2012 Dubstep and Glitch music it’s what was the Punk in the late 70’s and the Grunge in the 90’s – the fuel of a new generation, the dynamite in the hand of a furious, disoriented, sidelined and with no future generation. Considering all the social, economical and political tensions and conflicts in our late society, Dubstep works both as catalyst and discharger.
The downside – and the death – of becoming mainstream and fancy for the Dubstep it’s the same as for the other genres: it’s become patterned, predictable, and boring while everybody sound the same. Bass drops, wobbling and contorted sounds, but without any particular content are flooding the already saturated market and pretty soon the kids will start digging for something else, something different, something which once again, will break the line. Unfortunately very few products are actually worth to listen nowadays and pretty soon this will bury alive the genre. Read more Blackburner – Drop Bass Not Bombs (2012)

Ghosts – Judge (2012)

Two Dublin (Ireland) based producers, Paudie Bob and Kevin Gleeson, merging elements of Dark Ambient, Garage, 2 Step and Dubstep.
This is a nice trip into the dark side of electronic emotions and mechanical grooves, manipulated vocals, smartly layered synths and pulsing noises. Mysterious, still catchy and colorful, Ghosts find a nice path between Deep House, Techno, 2 Step, Garage, Dubstep, Dark Ambient and blend them all together into their own.
To date they have two independently released two EP’s, “Doxology” and “NIGHT”, and several official remixes for the likes of CLU, Simon Bird and Monto. Their new EP, “Judge”, was released on June 18th by the online digital label, Bad Panda Records.

Subsource – Generation Doom, EP (2012)

Subsource - Generation Doom, EP (2012) “Tales From the Doombox”, their 2010’s debut album was huge as a 10 tones punch right in the face. These guys from London just nailed the essence of wobbling noises filled Dubstep, the nerve and anger of Punk and the heaviness of Metal acts and merged everything into their own flavored music. Few artists can mash up different styles so smoothly and coherently as they did. Get Sex Pistols, Skrillex and Slipknot in the same room and make them bleed out the most intense possible s*it they can deliver, and then, eventually, you will come near to what Subsource sounds like. It’s dangerous and ferocious. Banger! This is the best result if someone ever trying to merge The Prodigy with Rage Against the Machine.
Liam Howlett of The Prodigy said: “These boy have a big, nasty sound. Dangerous to my ears” – and he definitively knows what he’s talking about.
Punkstep? Well, no label might match more appropriate!! Read more Subsource – Generation Doom, EP (2012)
