MoogFest Audiotool teamed up with Moogfest to find the best producer on Audiotool.
To enter simply make a track on Audiotool and submit it to the Moogfest contest via the track page. Can create an account, can sing up here.
I admit, I stumble into Audiotool a while ago, singed up and had several attempts to write songs, but never managed to finish up any of them and considered Audiotool a pleasant way to waste some time making some sweet noise while you’re at the office or something and out of reach of your usual audio weaponry. So, making a killer track on Audiotool it’s not actually the simplest thing to do, but not impossible. Got more then 30 days to experiment anyway!
The user judged to have the best track will win a trip to Asheville, NC (North Carolina, USA) and get to play a set at Moogfest along with some of the biggest names in electronic music, including Kraftwerk, Laurie Anderson, Giorgio Moroder, Flying Lotus, M.I.A. Cynic - Kindly Bent to Free Us (2014)

Cynic - Kindly Bent to Free Us (2014) Label Cynic as a metal band it’s at least ignorance. They grew out of that box pretty quickly and although they merged technical death metal and influences with jazz and progressive rock elements, their music was always something special and different. “Kindly Bent to Free Us”, their third full-length album, it’s a flawless mixture of modern sound and classic, progressive rock flavor with some jazzy reflections. Have some sort of King Crimson and Pink Floyd type of timeless and shiny (brilliant 🙂 ) feel.
The current line-up consist of veterans Paul Masvidal – vocals & guitars, Sean Reinert – drums & percussion and longtime, mainly studio collaborator Sean Malone – fretless bass, chapman stick.
Engineering by Jason Donaghy (Rob Zombie – Hellbilly Deluxe 2), mixed by R. ToM_IFTS Odată cu Soarele și cu vântul de primăvară, vine la București și o formație din Cluj-Napoca să ne mai dezmorțească. Theory of Mind îi are la bază pe frații Bosînceanu, Vladimir – voce și chitară, respectiv Andrei bas, lor li s-au alăturat chitaristul Alex Cos și bateristul Tudor Bilt.
Trupa cântă un amestec revigorant de post-rock psihedelic cu inflexiuni indie și dream pop. Este o muzică cu sunet modern, dar cu rădăcini solide în rock-ul clasic.
La un an de la debutul lor pe scena alternativă autohtonă, Theory of Mind au pregatit un nou material discografic. Este vorba de EP-ul intitulat “I Felt The Sun” ce va conține două compoziții originale plus o serie de remixuri la piesa ce da titlul materialului. Piesele originale semnate Vladimir Bosînceanu sunt: “I Felt The Sun”, ce se regasește și pe albumul de debut, și melodia “Summer Waves” – cea mai noua creație a formației.
