ANiMAL-MUSIC Releases Jump Music Video & FREE Download
The underground is over-populated with better then better bands and artist, unfortunately not always the best of them hit the surface. ANiMAL kicked out from the London’s EBM/Dubstep underground in late 2011. The three piece band consists of drums, laptop and guitar/vocals, started with a regular DJ takeover on Modestep Radio progressing onto guest mixes for Mista Jam on Radio 1Xtra and The Remix Show on XFM. Starting in 2012 ANiMAL went on to tour most of Europe playing at sold out Bass and EDM nights as well as some high profile supports.
The musical style is Punk meets Bass, kind of The Prodigy versus Sex Pistols, and definitively, this is quite a winner merge of styles and sounds, although, already experimented and bring to master level by their bad-ass homies, Subsource. Punkstep it’s a sold tag already, but still, ANiMAL it’s one of the more interesting bands pretty anxious to claim the throne.
After “The Animal Cage”, and “Mind Reader”, now ve’ve got “Jump” – featuring Mary Magdalan -, a new video and free download. What I like about ANiMAL it’s the humor. Michel Anoia – Michel Anoia (2013)
In a world of senseless violence a to the bone brutal album actually make sense. And beneath the surface, Michel Anoia it’s more then simple and pure brutality. Merging some killer and chill jazz breaks, slow grinding and doom flavored passages and complex, technical moments with brutal, grindcore rooted death metal, Michel Anoia offers a 30 minutes (almost) non-stop hell of a ride. This is the ultimate death metal roller-coaster.
The sound of the recording it’s raw, unpolished, ideal rehearsal type of, but it’s just the perfect, live and alive, breathing and kicking sound for this kind of music. Very convincing. And the song – the 29:24 minutes butchery – it’s flawless. Smartly build up, naturally flowing, with excellent breaks and moments for breathing, technically brilliant, intense and brutal throughout. Fans of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Between the Buried and Me, The Conjuration and generally, of those brutal, but colourful, bold and experimental metal bands will be delighted and definitively satisfied.

Rob Zombie – Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor (2013)
Mr. Zombie has sold over 15 million albums worldwide, and had six Top 20 hits on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in the United States. His fifth album, “Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor” will be released on April 23rd, 2013, four days after the release of Zombie’s film “The Lords of Salem”. The horror film was written, produced and directed by Mr. Zombie, and starring his wife Sheri Moon Zombie.
“Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor” will be the first Rob Zombie album to feature drummer Ginger Fish (ex-Marilyn Manson, Martyr Plot, and Powerman 5000). Ginger replaced old-time Zombie drummer Joey Jordison who focuse on his own band, the Murderdolls. Matt Montgomery – better known as Piggy D. – guitarist in Wednesday 13 and bassist for Rob Zombie is here, just like guitar genius John 5 (ex- David Lee Roth and Marilyn Manson). With a solid band like this, you only can expect true monstrosities, isn’t it? And well, Mr. Zombie will not disappoint anybody. “Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor” is filthy, groovy, unforgettable, rock to the bone kind of industrial metal. Somewhere half way between Revolting Cocks, Pigface, White Zombie and Marilyn Manson, but with the totally unmistakable charm and perfume of Mr. Zombie. Shining – One One One (2013)
Listen “Blackjazz” on a cold and dark morning in 2010 was love at first listen and it was one of the best albums of 2010 while Shining became one of my favorite bands. Although 2011 bring “Live Blackjazz”, a killer and consistent live recording, the awaiting seems longer than it actually was.
“One One One” pick up where “Blackjazz” left off, eventually Jørgen Munkeby and his bandmates get further darker, harder and more intense than ever before. Jello Biafra and The Guantanamo School Of Medicine – White People And The Damage Done (2013)
Released on April 2, 2013 on Alternative Tentacles, the second studio album by Jello Biafra and The Guantanamo School Of Medicine it’s a very strong, classy punk rock album filled with wicked guitar riffs, good sense of humor and social and political criticism. So, this is 101% Jello Biafra and “White People And The Damage Done” might be considered the orotund follow up of the Dead Kennedy’s 1987’s “Give Me Convenience OR Give Me Death”. No fillings, no fake s*it, no pop-punk (?!), no wasted or forgettable moments, but only true, honest, neat, punk rock. 54 year old Biafra shows that it’s still possible, and goddam it! it’s more alive and kicking then most of the self-proclaimed rebel and furious so-called musical products that the industry serve us nowadays.

Alexandr Vatagin – Serza (2013)
Cinematic and minimal electronic smoothly flavoured with dissonances and glitches, unexpected noise contortions and turns, but mainly staying in the smartly wide open spaces, Alexandr Vatagin’s third album it’s a chill, peaceful and enjoyable ride into minimal-modern-experimental electronic music.
Alexandr it’s also the head of Valeot Records, home of several other artists such as Tupolev, Port-Royal, Slon, Werner Kitzmüller Trio, Milhaven, Protestant Work Ethic, Dirac, The Pattern Theory, Werner Kitzmüller, Kutin and Attilio Novellino – some of them making guest appearances on this new album as well. Based in Vienna, Austria, Valeot Records supporting post-modern music that does not fit genre-classifications.
This is not an album of tumultuous, nowadays fancy bangings, drops and wobblings, but of emotions and gentle use of sounds. It’s a refreshing mixture of classic approach and modern texture, a style blending of post-modern shoegaze-like minimalism with the chill and gentle, jazz flavoured moments, all nice and smoothly dressed up in sparkling, electronic lace dresses. Device – Device (2013)
If not a super-group, a super-project build-up by Geno Lenardo (ex-Filter guitarist) and modern hard rock icon, singer David Draiman of Disturbed.
It all started when Lenardo reached out to Draiman to collaborate on a song for the “Underworld: Awakening” soundtrack in late 2011. Even though the song they recorded in Chicago and entitled “Hunted” didn’t ultimately make the final soundtrack, they decide to continue write and record tracks and soon they had an entire album ready to served to the audience through Warner Bros. Records.
“It started to develop very naturally and organically,” recalls the frontman. “Geno is a brilliant songwriter in his own right and a tremendously talented sound designer as far as the electronic palette is concerned. Together, we made this monster. It’s not metal. It’s got a dark electronic vibe. At the same time, these are big, anthemic, and intensely melodic songs. It’s futuristic rock.”
Although they tag it “dark, heavy, melodic, industrial” and mentioning mainly industrial influences such as Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Marilyn Manson, Pigface, KMFDM, Front 242 and Skinny Puppy, Device sounds like a dense and powerful mixture of Godsmack with Disturbed, Fight and Filter.
