Mr. Pan[k]sament – Doomstep Prophecies – The Remixes (2012) FREE DOWNLOAD!

Remixing isn’t a good business and generally speaking remixers are mainly disconsidered. Half way between sound engineers and musicians, remixers are doomed. If you deliver a better track then the original, the artist will definitively hate you. A friend of mine, Bluetrax explains it precisely: “See, the perfect world of music works like this: if you have a weak production, the remix cannot by any means be better than your original. so, for you as a remixer it’s a waste of time trying to get the best out of you. just try to please the world with some more senseless crap. anyway, that’s how it works most of the time. that’s why so many musicians have to fight for their rights and their money 😉 ”
I lost the numbers on the way, don’t know exactly how many remixes I did this year – already. Many. Probably too many. Here we go, 30 new tracks, FREE DOWNLOAD – in return, eventually you can vote for some of the contests I’m still in: Matisyahu, Kimbra, The Temper Trap  and Jason Mraz. Thanks – appreciate it! maQLu – Futureghosts, EP (2012)

Dark and strange, noisy and contorted, but with a secretly pulsing taste of mystery, Vancouver based noise-electro creep maQLu [aka Pyra Draculea] has just released her fourth EP, “Futureghosts”, on April 30, 2012, available through her Bandcamp page for free download (name your price). In the same location and on the same bases you can also grab two other previous releases, “The Maqlu Tarot” and “blood.black.haze”, a CD album which incorporates her first three EP’s.
maQLu named as her influences bands and artists such as Skinny Puppy, Chris & Cosey, ohGr, Nine Inch Nails, and Revolting Cocks, she reminded me mainly of Diamanda Galás and her dark, liturgical trips, she have that experimental thirst of Shikhee of Android Lust, but also she have roots back to minimalist No Wave and even further, back to Kraftwerk-like electro experiments and the nerve of The Stranglers. This music is about atmosphere and feelings, rather then about rhythms and dance, this go to your brain and soul, rather then driven your feet. Read more maQLu – Futureghosts, EP (2012)

Zardonic – Vulgar Display Of Bass (2012)

Zardonic - Vulgar Display Of Bass (2012) Federico Augusto Ágreda Álvarez, best known as Zardonic, is a Venezuelan DJ, producer, remixer, composer and keyboardist, known for his drum and bass act as well as his dark ambient, Black Metal and minimal techno side-projects as Blackholepit. His remix work include tracks for Nine Inch Nails, The Berzerker and Gorgoroth, as well as original releases on Dieselboy’s Human Imprint label and on Skrillex’s OWSLA label.
Expect, harsh, contorted, intense, noisy Dubstep, up to satisfy all the public expectations. This music is extremely groovy, sometimes dark enough, noisy and heavy in almost a Rock/Metal sense, high energy and even a sort of violence. And Zardonic definitively knows exactly what will hit you right in your face and what makes this s*it really banging. “Vulgar Display Of Bass” is a genre bending album of collaboration with a series of other artists and producers such as Counterstrike, Reid Speed, Messinian, Mark Instinct, NumberNin6, Run DMT, Krusha, Omar Santana & Voicians. Dubstep, Drum & Bass, Industrial and Metal are forged into one and will blow up your speakers. If you’re a fan of deadmau5, Skrillex, eventually The Prodigy, definitively you will bang your head off on this one too. I’m just not so sure about the…. revolution. Still, this is a good one, might be even the best in its genre and, on the other hand, “Revolution” is a huge song and not the only, a possible anthem for a future… revolution.
