Cindy Bradley – Unscripted (2011)
Cindy Bradley blows the trumpet since she was in the 4th grade of the elementary school, it was her last minute “weapon of choice” at the school’s band program while she began playing piano at the age of 6. Back than probably little she anticipate that it was a choice of a lifetime.
Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Cindy enjoyed a varied career in music starting from a very young age. At the age of 12 she began performing professionally with a Buffalo area jazz band that consisted of all promising young musicians called “Sugar and Jazz.” The group consisted of kids from ages 12-17 and stressed the importance of professionalism and emulating the big band sounds of the 1940s.
Cindy went on to earn a bachelors degree in jazz studies from Ithaca College, and a masters degree in jazz trumpet performance from the New England Conservatory. It was there that she studied with and was influenced by many jazz greats including John McNeil, Bob Brookmeyer, Jerry Bergonzi, George Russell and Steve Lacy. Evan Brewer – Alone (2011)
I never heard of him about one hour ago, as I never listen The Faceless, the technical death metal band in which he recently filled the bass player position. Evan was a former member of Animosity and Reflux, also filled in for two other bands, A Life Once Lost and Terror on tour, jammed with Vinyl Soup and started a project with Barry Donegan of Look What I Did. So, a bass player releasing a solo album exclusively playing bass is kind of odd even in more experimental genres as jazz for example, while the market for these kinds of acts is very limited. “Alone” is not about death metal, actually is not about any particular genre, is about music. Music played exclusively on bass, extremely technically, but also exciting and pretty soulful. Irvin Mayfield, Jr. born in New Orleans on December 23, 1977 is a jazz trumpeter and bandleader, he co-founded and has co-led the Afro-Cuban jazz group Los Hombres Calientes since 1998. while their debut album won Billboard’s 2000 Contemporary Latin Jazz Album of the Year. “A Love Letter to New Orleans” includes 14 selections from Mayfield’s 10-album recording career on Basin Street Records. FuryKane – Fake (2011)
If “Bel Air”, the latest Guano Apes was quite disappointing, JKaos and her band mates can make it up to you. “Fake” the brand new album by FuryKane, band formed in 2006 at Paris, France delivering a fresh blending of nu and groove metal flavored with modern sound approach, exciting industrial textures and minimalist electronic spices, but remaining rock/metal, constructing gloomy, but catchy songs with dark and heavy riffs, bass based rock themes.

Michael Monroe – Sensory Overdrive (2011)
While the most influential glam punk band has been the New York Dolls in the 70s, the 80s had the Finnish Hanoi Rocks which were formed in 1979 and had a major influence Poison, L.A. Guns, Ratt and Guns N’ Roses, as well as Manic Street Preachers, Murderdolls, Skid Row and the Foo Fighters have admitted being Hanoi Rocks fans and they open the way to the success for other Finish bands such HIM. Drummer Rezzel death’s in 1984 – caused by a car crash for which responsible was Mötley Crüe’s lead singer Vince Neil – had a big impact on the band and they broke up next year. Considered a “rebirth”, not a reformation of Hanoi Rocks, Michael Monroe and guitarist Andy McCoy rejoined in 2001 and released three more albums, but split once again in 2007. Michael Monroe sung on eight Hanoi Rocks albums, one Jerusalem Slim and one Demolition 23. album and “Sensory Overdrive” is his eight studio album.
