The Swiss trio are back and it’s time for the new set of dark and furious butchery! Although guitarist Antoine Tinguely (ex-Berserk For Tea Time) replaced former guitarist Samuel Vaney, Vaney is now supporting the band as composer/mixer.
While the drums were recorded in the REC Studio of Serge Morattel in Geneva, they recorded the guitars and vocals in their own rehearsal room, the new album is the result of hard work, giving the band big freedom in creation and the possibility to fully assume the production process. The sound it’s pretty raw, unpolished and have a pithy live vibe, if you pump up the volume high enough, almost feels like you are there in the rehearsal room. With traces back to Kyuss, Monster Magnet and Corrosion Of Conformity, gathering inspiration through Queens Of the Stone Age from Kyuss and related to Soundgarden and Down, Slut Machine blends perfectly Stoner Rock and Sludge Metal.
“From Blind to Blue” it’s the band third EP and we’ve got four heavy weight Stoner/Sludge hurricanes. Released on 14 April 2012, the EP it’s available for FREE DOWNLOAD.
“Collapse”, the opener track, it’s powerful and pounding, will grind you into the ground with it’s strong riffs and thundering drums. “Cosmic Monster” have some strong Soundgarden resonances and roots back to Heavy Metal. Once you hear it, it’s hard to get rid of it. “(Ain’t) No Way Out” have more heaviness, it roots lead us back to Black Sabbath. The closing “Tornado” it’s a Mississippi flavoured, slow grinding epic. Morgan Mechling – vocals, Phillip Davis – guitars and vocals, Kasey Richardson – guitars, Bryce Kresge – bass and visuals, and Patrick Santana – drums are here to unleash the Hell of fury and contorted, merciless Metal. Forging genres, melting into one Black Metal and (Post) Hardcore, Sludge and Doom, technical and extreme Metal, Bone Dance is not “just” a band, but an attitude, a state of spirit and mind, and they delivering not “only” music, but their work is a manifest. Back in the days, Rollins Band had this kind of attitude and energy, although Bone Dance speeding up wildly, just like you put a 33⅓ r.p.m. spinning vinyl record up on 45 while Morgan Mechling keep on howling bloody deadly.

Cowards – Shooting Blanks And Pills (2012) Free download!
Gathering current and ex-members of Sickbag, Death Mercedes, Hangman’s Chair, Eibon, Glorior Belli, Dacast, Colossus of Destiny, the Parisian Cowards delivered their 38 minutes of raging fury and filth, merging Hardcore, Sludge/Doom and Black Metal into their debut effort entitled “Shooting Blanks And Pills”. The album will be officially co-released on 30 June 2012 by Throatruinner Records and Hellbound Records. The digital version is already available for free download (name your price) on the official Bandcamp page of the record label, while the 12” LP will be out in late june and limited to 300 copies on black vinyl.

Kehlvin – The Orchard of Forking Paths (2012)
I watched the video – Kehlvin new Blockbuster 😆 – only to see if the dude at the end smash off his guitars to the rocks. He didn’t and honestly I was quite disappointed. 😆 😆 😆 Fun, but talking seriously, not such a great way to promote a new band nowadays if you want to be taken seriously by fans and the industry.
Formed back in early 1999 by five friends in La Chaux-de- Fonds, Switzerland, Kehlvin is delivering a slow grinding and Doom inspired, contorted and gloomy Metalcore with blending of both post-Hardcore and post-Rock/Metal elements. After the release of their first acclaimed album, “The Mountain Daylight Time” on Division Records and some shows across Europe with the likes of Burst, Will Haven, Mono, Red Sparowes, Knut and Unsane, the members of Kehlvin have collaborated with their friends from Rorcal in order to record a split album called “Ascension.” Read more Kehlvin – The Orchard of Forking Paths (2012)
Eyeswithoutaface – Monotoneoteny (2011)
A self-titled EP from 2010, their debut album, “Monotoneoteny” released this year in May and a remix album, “Tone Debris”, released this month, all three for free, can grab them from the band’s Bandcamp Page. Their music is a sick blending of Nine Inch Nails with sludge metal, some twisted modern psychedelia and criminal, pitched, black metal growling. Pretty rough mixture in deed, but definitively creative and quite original. So, these guys from Toronto have no connection with Billy Idol, but eventually with the 1960s film of Georges Franju, “Les yeux sans visage”. Beaten Back to Pure – The Last Refuge of the Sons of Bitches (2010)
Beaten Back to Pure poate că n-au strălucirea şi şarmul unora ca Maylene And The Sons Of Disaster, însă furnizează un Rock/Metal sănătos în cea mai bună tradiţie Stoner/Sludge/Southern Metal amintind de Corrosion of Conformity, Buzzov*en, de nervul Pantera/Down ( 😀 ), dar şi de dinamica celor din Soudgarden din epoca „Badmotorfinger”.
N-au inventat roata de rezervă, uşa la cămară sau filetul la bec, dar acest „The Last Refuge of the Sons of Bitches” sună energic, băieţii îşi fac treaba cu suflet, din convingere şi plăcere.
Cam subţire informaţiile legate de gaşcă, discul lansat acum pare re-editarea celui de-al doilea lor disc din 2004, însă nu ştiu dacă este doar o re-editare sau au remixat, re-masterizat, eventual re-imprimat materialul.
