Zardonic - Antihero (2015) The essence of what exactly Zardonic sounds like it’s expressed by this simple description: Skrillex meets Slayer. But, the Bass Metal of Zardonic it’s much more then a simple mixture of genres and sounds or the sonic expression of pure aggression. Zardonic is the voice of a new generation tired of labels, sick of boxes, a generation which will bring down all the walls and borders build up by the previous generations. And – honestly – there is no easy or smooth way to doing it, but being loud and brutal. Zardonic it’s at the top of this game and the blending of metal heaviness with the massive wall of sound of modern and aggressive electronic music never came together so well before.
Antihero will rock your world and leave you breathless while Zardonic it’s the prototype of the perfect antihoro. (more…)

The Prodigy - The Day Is My Enemy (2015) There are a couple of albums expected to be released this year (2015) I am anxious to listen to. One of them it’s the upcoming Agnostic Front album, the upcoming Limp Bizkit album, the debut album of Black Futures (ex-Subsource) and not at least the 6th The Prodigy album.
The Prodigy promised “violent sound” and a brand new level of sonic aggression. And well, have listen the whole album now for a couple of days and the sound it’s definitively there.
I’m still not sure if there are real songs under the massive sound and if The Prodigy have added anything new to their already fat repertoire.
“The Day Is My Enemy” sound almost exactly as “Invaders Must Die” back in 2009, the structure of the album and the structure of the songs it’s quite similar, but the songs are not that good and memorable. While I still can sing almost each song from the previous album purely from memory, after a couple of days of listening to “The Day Is My Enemy” the only thing which still ringing in my ears it’s “Nasty, nasty!” and that’s not really that good, but it’s more something quite compulsive. Only “Invisible Sun” it’s more stickier, but less radio friendly. (more…)

Celldweller New Album End of an Empire Personifying the sound of the iPod generation, he creates a hybrid fusion of digital and organic elements: intricately designed soundscapes constructed from Dubstep, Drum & Bass and Electro, woven together with aggressive Rock/Metal and Orchestral elements. Celldweller ignores genre boundaries and creates a pioneering vision of the future of electronic music.
Celldweller has just announced his new artist album, “End of an Empire” along with a :30 trailer featuring a vocal teaser of the title track. Klayton (Celldweller) has set a September 16, 2014 release date for ‘Chapter 01: Time’ featuring 5 new original tracks along with remixes from Breathe Carolina, Comaduster, KJ Sawka and OCTiV. You can pre-order the album now from FiXT & iTunes.
Featuring monolithic vocal tracks of epic scope, this release highlights Klayton’s unique fusion of infectious electronic music with aggressive rock & roll the way only Celldweller can – by blurring the lines between organic and synthetic. The title track “End of an Empire” takes listeners on a 7.5 minute dichotic journey of metal-infused drum & bass blasts, and a contrasting mix of lush vocal hooks and aggressive screams. “Lost in Time” clocks in with another 7 minutes of vocoded vocals, driving guitar riffs and pulsing ethereal synths, concluding with the fading lyric “this feeling will never die.” (more…)

Brushvox - No Sugga' Sugar is the generalized name for sweet, short-chain, soluble carbohydrates, many of which are used in food. They are carbohydrates, composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. There are various types of sugar derived from different sources. Simple sugars are called monosaccharides and include glucose – also known as dextrose, fructose and galactose. The table or granulated sugar most customarily used as food is sucrose, a disaccharide. In the body, sucrose hydrolyses into fructose and glucose. Other disaccharides include maltose and lactose.
Sugars are found in the tissues of most plants, but are only present in sufficient concentrations for efficient extraction in sugarcane and sugar beet. Sugarcane is any of several species of giant grass in the genus Saccharum that have been cultivated in tropical climates in South Asia and Southeast Asia since ancient times.
The world produced about 168 million tonnes of sugar in 2011. The average person consumes (more…)

Blackburner - From Dusk To Dub (2014) Cleopatra Records introduce Blackburner and their highly anticipated full-length album. Labeled “a bold new force in electronic music” and inspired by the new trends set on the electronic dance scene generated by the likes of fellow DJ Skrillex, Blackburner is the brain-child of multi-talented producer/musician Skyla Talon.
A Michigan-born Los Angeles transplant, Talon cut his teeth in the music capital of the world with the modern metal band Killingbird, which he founded, and in 2005 joined Scum Of The Earth, featuring former ROB ZOMBIE axeman Riggs.
The project immediately met with enormous success as compilations featuring BLACKBURNER climbed the iTunes charts and BLACKBURNER tracks racked up over 80,000 downloads. Hitting the top of Beatport Dubstep Charts at number 1 and presently continuing to stay on iTUNE Dance charts for over a year with their remix of Pumped Up Kicks. Bolstered by the overwhelming on-line buzz, preparations were made for a full-length album – and now the time has come for BLACKBURNER to make its worldwide launch. BLACKBURNER combines the heavily twisted and seriously aggressive Bass beats of Dubstep and Glitch with the melodic hooks of Electronica to create a daring yet widely appealing new hybrid sound. 4star - Nothing Changed (2014) It’s no secret, I’m a huge fan of the guys from 4star. That perfect mixture of Eminem style hip hop rapping of Adam and that dense and contorted, drum’n’bass and dubstep flavored instrumentals of Peter with a taste of Subsource/Black Futures and roots back to Reznor and NIN, simply nailed me. While 99.9% of the current mainstream electronic/EDM scene it’s nothing but a (bad) joke and the underground it’s not allowed to surface, these guys fined a pretty cool breach of their own, they are dumb enough to play their own music and not to follow the trends.
While their debut album – Daylight (2011) – was taking to laugh most of the issues which bothered Adam, this time his approach it’s considerably darker and the whole set-up it’s more experimental, psychedelic here and there and… darker. Although I hate to use the “dark” label because I consider it inconsistent. But this second installment of 4star it’s less edgy and more gloomy then the debut album. Adam’s not joking anymore and he’s lyrics this time are more serious and tense. This album it’s not dark, but honest.
If there would be really free and alternative media, 4star would become stars. But there isn’t. And it’s a shame! This whole word is and honestly we can do anything about it. But as these guys have enjoyed tracking these songs, I have the luxury to enjoy their release. I feel lucky and so can you. Buy their stuff and help independent artists to stay on the scene. Or don’t and enjoy the 374th posthumous Michael Jackson album and the next 50 Cent release which it’s pretty much the same s*it with the previous and the following one, only the song titles are changed. Eventually.
Even if we might feel like it’s getting worst, they say: nothing changed. This is bad? This is good? Let’s hear it!! (more…)

Therese - Remedy (DANK Remix) Therese is considered some kind of Swedish wonder-woman and the “queen of 21st century house music”. In only a few short years, she has crafted an international reputation for herself on the music scene – her signature tune ‘Put ‘em High’ is universally regarded as a 21st century dance classic, and continues to generate massive airplay to this day. ‘Put ‘em High’ reached No. 6 on the UK Top 40, and was followed by ‘Take Me Away’, another top ten dance/pop hit. In the USA, ‘Time’ scored an impressive No.21 placing on the Billboard Dance chart. Other records like ‘Neon Lights’ have become instant club classics, while ‘Feelin’ Me’ saw UK urban station Kiss FM proclaim her the ‘The Queen of Electro’.
Since then, she has toured extensively, performing at (more…)
