Steampunk Animals by James Corbett

James Corbett takes used card parts and, using them like pieces in a puzzle, creates amazing steampunk sculptures.
Corbett showed artistic talent ever since he was a little boy. Colleagues at his Redcliff school would always tell him he’d grow up to be an artist. But, at 36 years old James was running a motor wrecking business. That’s when he started welding together a bunch of car parts and awakened the dormant talent inside. In just 18 months he closed his wrecking business and became a full-time artist.
James Corbet says he makes these original sculptures because he can and it would be a shame to waste his God-given talent. The Car Part Sculptor has exhibited his works in galleries all across the world.

Classic album covers gets Star Wars overhaul

I’ve got a great series of art for you to enjoy today that mashes together several classic album covers with Star Wars and other classic movies. The series comes from digital artist Steven Lear of Why the Longplay Face? The stuff that he’s come up with is really quite entertaining and amusing. I’ve included a bunch of his creations below, but you can find even more on Facebook. All of them turned out extremely well.

Guitaris Dean Pleasants is still here (since 1996), and we’ve also got two other new talented musicians, guitarist Jeff Pogan and bass player Ra Díaz. King Crimson - Radical Action (2016) Actually the full title is “Radical Action To Unseat The Hold Of Monkey Mind” and features a comprehensive account of the 2015 live performance in Japan of the ever evolving creative entity that is commonly known as King Crimson.
It has been stated that King Crimson is not so much a band as it is “a way of doing things”. Different incarnations had quite different “ways of doing things” and this recordings are a very expressive audio and visual statement from the current band. The current line-up of King Crimson consist of Robert Fripp – Guitar & keyboards, Tony Levin – Basses & stick, Mel Collins – Saxes & flute, Jakko Jakszyk – Guitar & voice, Gavin Harrison – Drums, Pat Mastelotto – drums and Bill Rieflin – Drums & keyboards. Never saw or heard before three drummers in a rock band playing together! Talking drum get another sense here!
Robert Fripp commented about this 3 CD/1 Blu-ray set that “this is King Crimson….re-imagined”. Some of the material has not been performed live since the 1970s, although the songs were rearranged to suit the current line-up. Read more King Crimson – Radical Action (2016) ›

king-810-la-petite-mort-or-a-conversation-with-god-2016 From Flint, Michigan, formed in 2007, King 810 – formerly known as simply King – are back with their second full length album. Entitled “La Petite Mort Or A Conversation With God”, it’s darker and more disturbing then the debut album was back in 2014.
This is quite murderous. Literally. Because David Gunn’s world is not as comfortable as your usual living room. It’s not live on TV, it happens to you. He speak up openly about real life, poverty, abuses, faith, violence and hate. He spits anger and portray the world as most of us refuse to see it. But, my beloved liars and fools, this is the world we are all living in, can’t deny it, can’t ignore it, one day it will come and get you anyway. Army Of The Universe - 1999 & The Aftershow For Fans Of KMFDM, Ministry, and “Mechanical Animals” era Marilyn Manson, the Italian trio Army Of The Universe delivers a fancy cocktail of industrial rock riffs, modern electronica, analog synths sounds and overwhelming dance beats. Pure entertainment.
Formed in 2008 by trance and techno producer Albert Vorne (aka Trebla), vocalist Lord K, lead singer of Kult of the Skull God, and guitarist Davide Tavecchia, the band toured with KMFDM in North America in August 2011 and supported Skinny Puppy on the February leg of their 2014 Live Shapes for Arms tour.

Jambinai - A Heritage (2016) Released on June 17, 2016, “A Heritage” is the second album by the South Korean band Jambinai, the first on Bella Union. It’s a cliche already to state that Jambinai it’s not a band, but a force of nature.
Formed in Seoul in 2009, the core members are Kim Bo-mi playing haegeum, Lee Il-woo playing electric guitar, piri, vocals and Sim Eun-yong playing geomungo. On stage they are enforced by Choi Jae-hyuk – drums, Ok Ji-hoon – bass guitar and Yu Byeong-koo – bass guitar. Not really a traditional rock band, actually nothing is really traditional about their music, not even the reimagination of the traditional Korean music which they all studying at Korea’s National University of Arts. va-metal-hammer-30s-anniversary-2016 MetalHammer is a worldwide famous monthly heavy metal music magazine published in the United Kingdom by TeamRock, and in several other countries by different publishers.
In 1983, London-based Wilfried F. Rimensberger suggested to the newly rose Kerrang! magazine that they should publish also a German version, but the editors of the time were not interested. Rimensberger took the idea to Jürgen Wigginghaus, publisher of German MusikSzene magazine where Rimensberger was Chief-Editor, and proposed the idea of a multi-lingual rock music publication. He also approached some of Europe’s largest publishers such as Springer, Ringier and Bauer, but none were interested.
Wigginghaus used the Dortmunder Rocknacht as a test ground for the publication in Germany and Rimensberger started the international English version Metalhammer UK from London. Atomik Clocks Death Funk EP 2016 Atomik Clocks it’s a jazzcore band from Firenze, Italy. They are pushing the so-called envelope over the edge to widens the unexplored borders of music.
Some people make music because they need to express their feelings and thoughts, some people make music for fortune and fame. Sometimes this two things are come together, sometimes not.
Art is not always audience friendly. And this is just cool.
Atomik Clocks makes music, they give artistic expression to their untainted feelings.
They made some giant steps forward since their previous release. “Death Funk” kind of reminds me of Frank Zappa.
