Karl Marx Was A Broker is such an interesting choice for a band name, isn’t it? Got this album from the Italian independent label fromScratch Records and it’s an excellent ride into experimental, ground-breaking alternative rock/metal. It’s a vivid and dynamic blending of different tastes and styles from jazz and psychedelic to the so-called match rock and progressive metal, but it’s also a bridge over time, one foot is on the solid ground of the 70’s while the other kicking down the doors to the future.
Strong riffs, powerful grooves and interesting build-ups make “Director’s Cut” an exciting and memorable listening. This is practically the rearranged version of the previous album (based only in bass and drum), it adds new instruments and sonorities given by a new band member’s entry, Stefano Tocci. The powerful rhythm section of KMWAB is now reinforced and reached with guitar and synth’s riff and with sequencer tracks.

Born as a bass/drum duo in 2009 with the meeting of Marco Filippi ( bass ) and Gianluca Ingrassia ( drums ), become a trio in June 2012 with the entry in the line up of Stefano Tocci, Sound Engineer and guitar/synth of Incoming Cerebral Overdrive.
Their first work is the Homonymous EP recorded in November 2009 The EP, in spite of the short gestation time, has allowed to KMWAB to play around Italy with high level bands and places.
In January 2011, with the experience stored up in 2010 they decide to record their first LP, named Alpha to Omega under the indipendent label of Turin “Escape from Today Records” well received by music press and websites.
The “Alpha to Omega Tour” has started at the same time, and it’s still in progress, after over 30 gigs in all Italy.
June 2012, a new phase of KMWAB begins with the new entry of Stefano Tocci, Sound Engineer and guitar/synth of Incoming Cerebral Overdrive.
With him we have recorded on December 2012 “Alpha to Omega Director’s Cut”, the rearranged version of Alpha to Omega with guitars and synthetizers.
