This massacre were released from Switzerland and this is a bloody brutal death metal horde which also included in their merciless music modern sounds and some electrifying drum’n’bass/dubstep samples and breaks, hip hop taste-like moments, interludes. It’s a trend right now and those who want to be “up to date” will definitively ride on this dubstep mania, but only a few will actually manage to deliver something worth to mention. MMAD managed to maintain high standards of brutality and they incursions into electronica are only to flavor their murderous riffs, to add aroma to their absolutely aggressive metal. And well, it’s quite convincing, their debut, five track EP shows a determined, surprisingly mature and serious as death metal band.
Formed in January 2010, the band produce a first demo and start to play in the Swiss metal/hxc scene with bands like Promethee, Abstract Reason and open for European headlines like Awaken Demons, Admiral’s Arms or Betraying The Martyrs.
This year they moved forward and record this first EP with Johann Meyer (Kandyss, Yverdoom, live for Dagoba, One Way Mirror, Kruger) which was released on Heimathome Records in April 2011.
This is a tasteful, 101% brutal, but still colorful, extremely intense metal release.
Nathan Botelho – bass, Marc Chevalley and “Manu” Le Bé – guitars, Joan “Yout’s” Liechti – drums and singer Isaïe Massy delivered an absolutely high quality metal product and MMAD is definitively a band to keep an eye on.
