The trials and tribulations of an independent creator

Let me be clear: I’m not complaining; it is what it is. And ultimately, it’s not even about me.
I am an independent writer and Tarot deck creator.
I created my first deck, the Unified Esoteric Tarot, in 2017, and I decided to self-publish it.
It won the best self-published deck category at the 2018 CARTA Awards, and it earned me the honour of serving on the judging panel in subsequent years, until I decided to resign after the 2024 competition.
Between 2018 and 2020, I created and self-published over 10 decks, and created a couple more, but kept them in my drawers. I submitted none of my work and preferred to keep my work “independent,” with all its ups and downs.
Likewise, I wrote and self-published several books using Lulu. One of the main reasons I have chosen Lulu is that they print locally. They don’t print in China, but use various printing companies near the customer who has submitted their order.
All my “products” are print-on-demand, making the manufacturing costs considerably higher.
I am also aware that most publishers would likely have rejected my work for its original, non-traditional content. I have no issue being the black sheep. As the song goes, “It’s a dirty job, but someone’s gotta do it.”
Coming back to the self-publishing of Tarot decks, after Read more The trials and tribulations of an independent creator ›

The Karpathy Wheel for August 2026

map-of-the-world

I owe you some explanations regarding the prediction for August 28-29.
Just a reminder, according to my calculations, the critical moments related to the Saturn-Neptune conjunction are:

May 14-16 – the Six of Disks (Steadiness).
July 6-8 – the Three of Cups (Devotion).
August 28-29 – the Eight of Disks (Multiplication).
October 19-20 – the Four of Swords (Originality).
December 9-10 – the Nine of Wands (Exploration).
February 1-2 (2027) – the Six of Swords (Departure).

So far, these dates have proved quite accurate.
At first sight, nothing spectacular, not to say “catastrophic,” happened last week.
Well, at least two major things come to mind.
The first, and perhaps the most dramatic, is the imminent Read more The Karpathy Wheel for August 2026 ›

September 2026

Monthly Charts NYSE 2026 09 September

08.29.2026. September 2026.
The Kárpáthy Wheel for September 2026.
On September 10, Mercury enters Libra. The Tarot card representing this aspect is the Two of Swords, which signifies diplomacy.
Considering the rising tensions between the collective Western world and the East – Russia, Iran, and, not least, China – perhaps this is a great opportunity to de-escalate the situation and find an amicable solution.
It’s also the day Read more September 2026 ›

The world in my eyes

world_in_my_eyes

Let me show you the world in my eyes, say the lyrics of a pretty famous song.
This is the title of a new Patreon tier I launched today, and it’s available for $16.55 per month.
Depending on your feedback and demand, I will post regularly about politics and the economy, and other day-to-day matters analysed through my, more or less esoteric, perspective.
Another small change I made: you can access a 7-day free trial of “World in my eyes” and “Daily 3-card readings.”
However, for now, in the “World in my eyes” tier, there will probably not be daily posts.

To begin with, on February 25, 2026, I posted Read more The world in my eyes ›

The Saturn and Neptune Conjunction in February 2026

2026.02.Feb.20.

Back in April 2025, I wrote at length about the Saturn and Neptune Conjunction. You can read the full article here.
For those who still do not have access to my paid members-only posts, here is a small excerpt.
The previous Conjunction occurred at 11°55’ Capricorn and the Second House on March 3, 1989.
Several major events marked 1989: the Tiananmen Square protests in China, the collapse of communist regimes across Eastern Europe, the Fall of the Berlin Wall, which symbolically signalled the end of the Cold War, and the birth of the World Wide Web.
1989 was a turning point Read more The Saturn and Neptune Conjunction in February 2026 ›

Pussy Riot

Democracy? Are you joking, don’t you? What an old-fashioned concept! Dictators are highly appreciated characters by the so-called civilized West, it’s enough to think of Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi who not so long time ago was at least the best friend of most of the European leaders and presidents, it’s enough to look closer what a friendly and respectful relation is between all the – once again – so-called Capitalist and democratic world, the Occident, and Vladimir Vladimirovici Putin, or how little dictators as Victor Orban of Hungary or Traian Basescu of Romania are encouraged and supported by the leaders of the European Union – and even by Uncle Sam – and things are pretty clear for anybody who really want to see. But the fact is, nobody want to see, to hear, to give a s*it. The best interest of the West is to keep in office strong leaders (dictators) who are capable by any mean to keep masses under control. Nobody need a second opinion on anything. This is the new age and a new, pervert form of global colonization.
The so-called “free world” Read more Pussy Riot ›
