Contorted and blunt, dark, but intense, For You.Earth saluting us from Nizhni, Novgorod, Russia.
Formed in 2006 by school friends Victor Murzaev -vocals and Andrey Prokofiev – guitars, and with Sergey Tokarev on drums and Maxim Malygin on bass they record their first demo in 2007. At the end of the same year Dima Lobachev became the new drum player and the band played on “Murder By Carrot” festival. In January 2008 they recorded “Traces Of Alarm Rockets” the song which featured on “Screaming Nation”, the first Russian compilation of independent heavy music which included also other friendly bands such as: .crrust, Follow The White Rabbit, Maria:Abort Chosen, Equal Minds Theory, etc.
Based exclusively on the DIY principles and practices, the band started recording their debut album in the rehearsal room with a mobile studio. The album, entitled “The Oldest Songs” was released on September 5th 2009. The songs on album were written between 2006 and 2009 and recorded between 2008 and 2009, including some re-recoded versions of lost tracks from the band’s very first demo. Having faced the problem of releasing the album, guys established their own independent label Opposing Music.
In 2009 For You.Earth played lots of gigs in support of “The Oldest Songs” LP, rolled two mini-tour trips, playing with such well known bands as The Chariot, Norma Jean, Psyopus and Madame De Montespan, and also get their tracks on air of French “Radio Metal”. The band also started recording the split album with their old friends and home town mates, Mathcore/Progressive band Catchers In The Rye. The split was released on April, 7th, 2010, also on Opposing Music and it’s available for free download.
In 2011 band had tours and in September played shows with Plebeian Grandstand and Devil Sold His Soul.
“The Deathsongs”, the band’s second album consist of 10 dark and noisy brand new songs, was released on 5th September 2012. This is a gloomy, intense, both Death and Doom rooted modern, epic, Metalcore incorporating the fury of Hardcore and the heaviness of Groove Metal, but also merging Chaotic Hardcore with Dark, Doom and Goth flavored Metal, but also experimental, edge cutting moments.
My favorits are the probably most experimental “Цари из грязи” (The Kings of the Mud) with colorful horns and intense groove; the quiet closing track, “Начало” (Start/Beginning); and the epic, over 8 minutes long “Проснись” (Awake/Wake Up).
Guitarist Andrey Prokofiev is also responsible for the beautiful artwork.
For You.Earth managed to build up their own universe, deliver their own flavored Metal, although this music have its roots back to bands such as Neurosis and Earth Crisis.
