The term stranger is the traditional way of referring to someone physically present in the Palace of Westminster who is neither a member of parliament nor a parliamentary official. Nowadays, strangers – visitors – can watch debates, and can sit in the Stranger’s Gallery. Historically, visitors were not allowed in at all. Parliament still has the right to debate in private, and any visitor causing a disturbance can be ejected, or even taken into custody by the Serjeant at Arms.Attempts to exclude visitors are usually employed simply to disrupt or delay the House’s proceedings, a kind of filibustering. An MP wishing to interrupt used to shout “I spy strangers”.
This kind of so-called post-hardcore few years back would be labeled without a blinking of an eye emo.
Actually, we use to forget what was the essence of emo: “emotional hardcore” or as later was encrypted: “emocore” and typically characterized by melodic musicianship and expressive, often confessional lyrics. In 2007, the band released the EP “Set Your Sights On The Sky”. “The Kind Of Dirty You Cant Wash Off” is they debut album by the Birmingham-based band and the line-up consist of Ben Cross, Matt Smith, Mikey White, Alex Dodwell and Adam Stokes.
We’ve got 12 full of energy songs, pumping drums, a couple of very good riffs and melodious vocals. I Spy Strangers play what most of the bands dose now days, but somehow it seems they have more soul and they were more inspired. “The Kind Of Dirty You Cant Wash Off”, “The Nightlife (Dirty White Shoes)”, “Crisis? What Crisis?” are actually great songs and there are a few more good moments on this album. They actually singing like the mean it, so… “dance like nobody’s watching, sing like nobody’s in the room!”
