This band from NY it’s around since 1997 and “Tighter” actually it’s the re-issued version of their debut and out of print album “Tight” released 12 years ago. It’s a crazy shit, but well, my kind of shit. Love at first listening. Because till this morning I never heard of them. MSI gave us a noisy mixture of Punk and Electronic music, whatever Electronic music may means from Synth Pop to Industrial, in and out and from Marilyn Manson to Jaguar Love. The 26 tracks of “Tighter” it’s kind of trip to Hell and back – all fucking inclusive. A good one. And funny one. To Hell or wherever else you want or imagine to go. It may be a sunny island, a cellar, the (pink) side of the Moon or… a bordello in Amsterdam.
“Bring the Pain” it’s a killer track, but not the only killer track of this album. “Tight” it’s another ass banging anthem. Just like “Moly”, “Daddy”, “Pussy All Night”, “Dickface” and most of their twisted and sick songs. Unbelievable and irresistible. So… come and get some! 😀
Mindless Self Indulgence was formed in New York in 1997 when Urine was joined by fellow musicians Steve, Righ?, Vanessa Y.T., Kitty along with manager/co-producer, James Galus. Their music mixed different styles including punk rock, alternative rock, electronica, hip-hop, and industrial.
They have released four albums, two EPs, one live album, and one live DVD, several Billboard chart topping singles and videos that have garnered over five million views. Rather than signing traditional record contracts, the band has licensed the vast majority of their albums to distributors and record labels, retaining ownership of the music. Their most recent full length easily entered the Billboard top 30 while releasing three #1 selling singles in the United States.
The band maintains a fiercely devout fanbase, and has opened for many well-known acts such as Linkin Park, System of a Down, Korn, Sum 41, My Chemical Romance and Rammstein. Notable bands who have opened for them include My Chemical Romance, The Dresden Dolls, Rasputina, Shiney Toy Guns, The Birthday Massacre, Tub Ring, Dir en grey and Velvet Code.
In January 2009 the band headlined the Kerrang! Relentless Energy Drink tour (UK), supported by Dir en grey, Bring Me The Horizon, Black Tide and In Case of Fire.
