Working with makeup artist Valeriya Kutsan and retouching expert Veronica Ershova, Khokhlov manages to capture women and men as pictorial reinterpretations of themselves, inspired by two-dimensional posters, comics, pop art, impressionist paintings, pixelated images, and cartoon characters.
