From Syracuse, NY, Engineer are compound of three brothers and a brutal dude behind the drum kit: Bobby – vocals, Ryan – guitar, Brad – bass, respectively Mike Auclair – drums. Decibel Magazine ranked Engineer’s 2006 release “Reproach” one of the top 50 Best Albums of the Year and their noisy, deranged, modern metal have something unique and exciting.
At More Sound Studios with producer Jocko Randall (Ed Gein, From a Second Story Window) they put together their second full length album “The Dregs” in 2007 and after a four year gap, Engineer strikes for the third time with another crushing and epic material, this gloomy and heavy, twisted but beautiful “Crooked Voices”.
Engineer have something from the weight and sickness of Neurosis, Knut, Breach, Anodyne, Blacklisted, Cursed, the darkness of SunnO)) and the glow, the heaviness of Helmet, Unsane merged with the experimental atmosphere of Isis, their music it’s quite neurotic and noisy, but also filled with shattered harmonies, hidden melodies.
