Audiotool teamed up with Moogfest to find the best producer on Audiotool.

I admit, I stumble into Audiotool a while ago, singed up and had several attempts to write songs, but never managed to finish up any of them and considered Audiotool a pleasant way to waste some time making some sweet noise while you’re at the office or something and out of reach of your usual audio weaponry. So, making a killer track on Audiotool it’s not actually the simplest thing to do, but not impossible. Got more then 30 days to experiment anyway!
The user judged to have the best track will win a trip to Asheville, NC (North Carolina, USA) and get to play a set at Moogfest along with some of the biggest names in electronic music, including Kraftwerk, Laurie Anderson, Giorgio Moroder, Flying Lotus, M.I.A. Other Nighttime Performers Include, RJD2, Soul Clap, Daedalus, Dan Deacon, Gas Lamp Killer, Green Velvet, Sasha, Art Department, Escort and A Rare Performance From UK’s Darkstar. 70+ More Artists To Be Announced.
Moogfest is an annual event held in Asheville North Carolina. The festival was first set up to honor the vision of Robert Moog and his many inventions. Moogfest is spread over 5 days and nights and will include performances from over 100 artists, interactive experiences, visual art exhibitions, film screenings, panel discussions and workshops.
This is an open competition, you can make any type of music you want. We want submissions that really show what is possible with Audiotool, tracks that are original and express high levels of sound design and production. The judges will also be looking for tracks which capture the spirit of Moogfest, the continuing legacy of Robert Moog and the pioneering machines he created.
Submission phase ends 25 March 2014 – 23:59 UTC. The winning tracks will be chosen by a panel of judges and announced on the 1st of April.
Winner must have an Audiotool account with valid corresponding email address (if you are not sure whether or not your corresponding email address is correct this can be changed via your preferences).
Maximum track duration 5:00 min.
Users of any age can enter the competition but participants must be over the age of 18 as of the 1st of April 2014 to be able to claim the prize.
Audiotool reserves the right to remove submissions and/or excluded participants at any time on legitimate grounds i.e. beach of the Audiotool terms and conditions, manipulation or undue influence on the competition.
Also the winner, together with 7 runners-up will have their tracks recorded onto tape and given out to all of the artists, press and VIPs attending Moogfest 2014. Good luck!
