New name on the scene, no background infos, no nothing about them, so, what could I did, google them, obviously. Google “Grand Central – 01” and you will got THIS. A not so succeeded snap-shot of the Grand Central Terminal in NYC. Tried a different approach and find out that there’s a Brit cover band running under the same name and “providing the best live music from 60s to present day for your wedding, party, corporate events”… S*it! And there are also “The Grand Central Band” from New Zealand, formed in 1997… I hate “my job” (sometimes), I hate Google – but I would be disposable to merry his daughter eventually 😀 -, I hate the internet, I hate you and everybody else. Still, I love punk’n’roll, something performed and perfected to master by Lemmy Kilmister and his Motörmotherfuckinghead. And this 4 track EP delivered by the French Grand Central consist of that kind of
British punk rock with heavy metal after-taste. Kind of “straight and cut to the chase”, grinding, pounding, pulsing, dirty and effective approach. The Domino Media Agency kindly submitted me this EP, but as I said without any other info about them and I wasn’t able to dig out anything else: not even a MySpace or a Facebook profile. But if by any chance you stumble into this, definitively worth a listen. Well, you have to trust me on this one… I honestly suggest to find a better band name, although the music is alright already.
P.S. Meanwhile Aurélien from Domino Media Agency send me a press-kit regarding the band so, I’ve got a useful link:
Grand Central @ Hell Vice I Vicious Records
Although, their Bandcamp link, unfortunately still not working.
GRAND CENTRAL is a group that emerged in early 2010 made up of some ex-members from SMSCREW and MADAME DE MONTESPAN, all with the same desire to play music in a powerful and effective combination of Punk Rock, Hardcore and wild Rock’n’Roll.
They condensed furious rock’n’roll wild and uninhibited in the tradition of The BARS, Gallows and The Ghost Of A Thousand.
