XLR8R Teams with Ghostpoet for Remix Competition for 3 tracks

Ghostpoet

Ghostpoet XLR8R has teamed up with shapeshifting UK producer/vocalist Ghostpoet to launch a remix contest, in which three carefully selected winners will have their reworks of the soulful artist’s new tunes cut onto one-off dubplates.
Three tracks from Ghostpoet’s Some Say I So I Say Light LP, his sophomore album for [PIAS] Recordings, have been offered up for budding tunesmiths to reimagine. The acapellas from “Meltdown,” “Cold Win,” and “Dial Tones” are now available to download, and producers are invited to rework one, two, or all three cuts—submitting their versions to the appropriate SoundCloud groups (more on that below) by November 7 to be eligible to win. After that date, Ghostpoet, XLR8R, and [PIAS] Recordings will deliberate and crown a winning remix of each track by November 14, and the selected productions will be cut to their own own dubplate vinyl (courtesy of The Carvery, London’s longstanding vinyl mastering and pressing plant), in addition to being prominently featured on the pages of XLR8R.
Full terms and conditions of the XLR8R x Ghostpoet Remix Contest can be found over on the [PIAS] Recordings website, here, and the select vocal stems from “Meltdown,” “Cold Win,” and “Dial Tones” can be downloaded via SoundCloud.

Finished remixes of “Meltdown” should be submitted here.
