“Kinetik” is the second full length album by this four piece Croatian band and they melt down dark, epic metal into the Rammstain masterd, so-called Neue Deutsche Härte industrial metal while the band is fronted by female singer Mya Mortensen. Her band-mates are Malice Rime – Guitars and Synthesizers, Zoltan Harpax – Bass and Torsten Nihill – Drums, Percussion. The band was formed in 2007 in Umag, and is signed to Drakkar Entertainment, a part of Sony BMG.
The band’s debut album, “Dreams in Formaline”, was released in 2009 and its first single, “Stigmata”, was played on the MTV rock chart and peaked to the 4 place on the MTV Adria Rock chart, receiving a constant airplay for more than 2 months. The video also appeared on other European and worldwide TV stations in their daily charts. On YouTube Stigmata received more than a quarter of a million views, which is the highest viewing number for a debut song in this genre.
The band toured with the German folk metal band Subway to Sally on their “Kreuzfeuer” tour in 2009, they also headlined the 2nd stage on Metal Camp 2010, appeared on Wave Gothic Treffen and concluded the Dreams in Formaline tour with a performance on Metal Female Voices Fest 2010.
In February 2010 they announced that a North American version of their debut album will be released by Artoffact Records in April and will include a bonus track.
“Kinetik”, their brand new release contains 11 epic, gloomy, powerful new songs including a few anthematic titles as “Dance With Me” – the leading single – with some mysterious oriental perfume and catchy, almost pop-like chorus and another possible hit, the groovy “Cut Forget” or the almost ballad “Strip Me”.
Omega Lithium find an interesting pattern between metal, euro-trance and industrial metal, balancing between cutting edge riffs and melodious, danceable themes, they create their own exciting sound.
The album was recorded in Horus Studio in Hannover and was co-produced by the band’s guitarist Malice Rime, and produced by Žare Pak, Slovenian’s most successful producer known for acts like Siddharta among others.
