Formed in the early 90s, in Bucharest, Romania, Monarchy started playing heavy metal following the path of such predecessors as Metallica, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. The band went on hiatus in 1998, but returned even more determined in 2009 and now they are about to release their brand new album entitled “Feeding The Beast”. The “new” Monarchy took a new direction towards to more complex compositional structures influenced by bands such as Queensryche and Dream Theater.
Although the Queensryche parallel is very powerful, Monarchy delivering modern, progressive, guitar driven metal.
With new drummer, Sunday, December 18, at Coyote Café (Calea Victoriei, 48) they gonna launching the new single “Hysteria” with a night on fire concert.
