Art Whino project turned five years old this year and fulfilled its short term goal of 100 murals done by numerous artists. 100 murals now spanning from the Fan to the VMFA so visitors of Richmond won’t be able to check them all out in one-weekend visit trip. But you know they are all worth it.

Graffiti artist El Mac brings the streets to life with his most amazing murals. From the urban scenes of the USA to Canada, Mexico, Italy, Germany, Amsterdam, Switzerland and recently in far-east places like Vietnam and Singapore, El Mac has made his mark and I’m sure people are happier for it. Over the last year or so, German street artist 1010 created several of his fantastic spray paint portals in locations around Germany, Panama, and the United States. 1010 brings surprising layers of depth to drab facades and blank gallery walls by painting concentric layers of color. The artist most recently had a solo show at Hashimoto Contemporary in San Francisco titled Limbus. (more…)
