Gli Putridissimi and Panzanellas – Comete, split album (2014)

Gli Putridissimi and Panzanellas - Comete, Split album 2014

Gli Putridissimi and Panzanellas - Comete, Split album 2014 Lepers production from Itali it’s a free net label, we share weird music for free since 2005. They promote them self as the best free net label and it might be quite possible. But what I’m absolutely sure is that I love both Gli Putridissimi and Panzanellas and the positive madness they dislocate and spread around.
Gli Putridissimi it’s an experimental project from Bari which combines black metal with jazz. Hard not to love the rough insanity they deliver. But – for some probably surprisingly -, they manage to bring to the surface also memorable melodies and some pretty addictive grooves. They have a kind of friendly acid/psychedelia/space rock vibe from the 70’s mixed with modern grooves and non-conformity. We’ve got Read more Gli Putridissimi and Panzanellas – Comete, split album (2014)

Celldweller – Blackstar Act Two, Awakening (Original Score) 2014

Celldweller - Blackstar Act Two, Awakening (Original Score) 2014

Celldweller - Blackstar Act Two, Awakening (Original Score) 2014 The story continue! I had bring to your attention last year the joint adventure of Celldweller and the award-winning science fiction/fantasy author Joshua Viola in their fantasy multidimensional, musical, literal and visual project entitled “Black Star”.
The story short:
In a world blasted and barren, the last bastion of civilization is the fortress-city of Central. The people within its walls gladly accept the dominion of Kaine, the city’s benevolent arbiter, in return for his gift to them – Re:memory. This public archive contains humanity’s memories of the world before it was destroyed, allowing them to relive the lost glories of the past.
Rezin doesn’t know who he is or how he came to be in Central, but he does know this: he is a Reaper. His combination of gifts and abilities allow him to decrypt any system and steal information to sell to the highest bidder. His talents afford him a life of luxury until the day he plugs into Re:memory and reaps something he wasn’t looking for, something Read more Celldweller – Blackstar Act Two, Awakening (Original Score) 2014

OK Go – Upside Out, EP (2014)

OK Go – Upside Out (2014)

OK Go – Upside Out (2014) “Hungry Ghosts”, the first new OK Go studio album in four years, drops in October, but the waiting it’s almost over and till the new album, we’ve got a 4 track EP to hang on to. It were quite long 4 years, OK Go and their fabulous third album, “Of the Blue Colour of the Sky” made me re-evaluate the indie/alternative rock scene and it’s still one of my all time favorites albums. I just can not delete it from my mp3 player. It’s like Led Zeppelin “III”.
Anyway, if you’re anxious, you can contribute to their Pledge campaign of fund raising for the production of the new album.
Meanwhile we had a cute Extra Nice Edition on double CD, a live album (180/365, 2011), The Compleat 12 Months of (Rare, Unreleased) OK Go and a few killer videos. And while I just mentioned their incredible videos, they delivered a new one: “The Writing’s On the Wall”, so, let’s take a look! Read more OK Go – Upside Out, EP (2014)

No Sugga’

Brushvox - No Sugga'

Brushvox - No Sugga' Sugar is the generalized name for sweet, short-chain, soluble carbohydrates, many of which are used in food. They are carbohydrates, composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. There are various types of sugar derived from different sources. Simple sugars are called monosaccharides and include glucose – also known as dextrose, fructose and galactose. The table or granulated sugar most customarily used as food is sucrose, a disaccharide. In the body, sucrose hydrolyses into fructose and glucose. Other disaccharides include maltose and lactose.
Sugars are found in the tissues of most plants, but are only present in sufficient concentrations for efficient extraction in sugarcane and sugar beet. Sugarcane is any of several species of giant grass in the genus Saccharum that have been cultivated in tropical climates in South Asia and Southeast Asia since ancient times.
The world produced about 168 million tonnes of sugar in 2011. The average person consumes Read more No Sugga’

Blackburner – From Dusk To Dub (2014)

Blackburner - From Dusk To Dub (2014)

Blackburner - From Dusk To Dub (2014) Cleopatra Records introduce Blackburner and their highly anticipated full-length album. Labeled “a bold new force in electronic music” and inspired by the new trends set on the electronic dance scene generated by the likes of fellow DJ Skrillex, Blackburner is the brain-child of multi-talented producer/musician Skyla Talon.
A Michigan-born Los Angeles transplant, Talon cut his teeth in the music capital of the world with the modern metal band Killingbird, which he founded, and in 2005 joined Scum Of The Earth, featuring former ROB ZOMBIE axeman Riggs.
The project immediately met with enormous success as compilations featuring BLACKBURNER climbed the iTunes charts and BLACKBURNER tracks racked up over 80,000 downloads. Hitting the top of Beatport Dubstep Charts at number 1 and presently continuing to stay on iTUNE Dance charts for over a year with their remix of Pumped Up Kicks. Bolstered by the overwhelming on-line buzz, preparations were made for a full-length album – and now the time has come for BLACKBURNER to make its worldwide launch. BLACKBURNER combines the heavily twisted and seriously aggressive Bass beats of Dubstep and Glitch with the melodic hooks of Electronica to create a daring yet widely appealing new hybrid sound. Kasabian – 48:13 (2014)

Kasabian – 48 13 (2014)

Kasabian – 48 13 (2014) Formed in Leicester, England, in 1997, Kasabian won several awards and recognition in the media, including a Brit Award in 2010 for Best British Group and their live performances are generally well appreciated by the media and the audience. Their music has been described as a mix between The Stone Roses and Primal Scream with the swagger of Oasis. They have released five studio albums so far: Kasabian (2004), Empire (2006), West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum (2009), Velociraptor! (2011), and this current, brand new album, 48:13 (2014).
48 minutes and 13 seconds, ten songs, three interludes (Shiva, Mortis, Levitation), “48:13” it’s a fair, straight up, electronic-tinged Brit indie-rock album with a few good and groovy moments and some memorable melodies.
This time they tried a little bit harder to sound like themselves rather than trying to be somebody else (obsessively, obviously or eventually Oasis) and – definitively – this is a win win situation both for them and for us, respectively their audience. Read more Kasabian – 48:13 (2014)

3 Teeth – 3 Teeth (2014)

3TEETH - 3TEETH (2014)

3TEETH - 3TEETH (2014) “Industrial mayhem” – it describes perfectly the essence of 3 Teeth. In a world of boring and predictable EDM, these old fashioned Ministry flavored music it’s refreshing and intense enough to tear you apart.
Actually that intensity, the simplicity, the hard hitting noises and several simple, but wicked, bone cutter guitar riffs are the aces from the sleeves of this L.A. based band. I love this album, it makes me wanna scream (again), kick me out of my chair and make me bang like a maniac. And honestly, I’m kind of old and rusty for that, but these guys managed to bring out (or back? 🙂 ) the animal from me. And that’s pretty cool because that’s all what this music it’s about after all, isn’t it? Read more 3 Teeth – 3 Teeth (2014)
