Nitin Sawhney made 9 studio albums, for which he has been nominated for a Mercury Music prize, won a MOBO, 2 BBC Radio 3 awards and a Southbank show award, amongst 15 others. He has scored over 40 films for cinema and television, with an Ivor Novello nomination for best score leading to his recent much acclaimed Orchestral music to the BAFTA nominated BBC series “The Human Planetâ€, Mira Nair’s recent film “The Namesakeâ€, two film scores for live performance by the London Symphony Orchestra and a biopic about Jean Charles De Menezes. Red Hot Chili Peppers – The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie single and Road Trippin Through Time promo (2011)
Five years are equal of a lifetime in the music industry nowadays. The “Road Trippin Through Time” is a radio station issued, promotion only CD featuring 18 of the band’s biggest hits from “Give It Away” to “Californication” and from “Soul To Squeeze” to “Tell Me Baby”, all of them from the Warner Brothers era and in radio edited format.
Since “Stadium Arcadium” John Frusciante left once again the band and he was replaced by Josh Klinghoffer who joined Red Hot Chili Peppers in 2007 on the final few legs of their Stadium Arcadium tour, performing additional guitar, backing vocals, and keyboard parts alongside the band.
The new album, entitled “I’m with You”, is schedule to be released August 30, 2011, introduced by the reminder of the band through the radio promo album and a new single: “The Adventures Of Rain Dance Maggie” released to radio on July 15, 2011 and available via iTunes. Bury Your Dead – Mosh N Roll (2011)
Stripped to the core, this is hardfuckingcore with heavy riffs, high-level fury and explosive, unleashed energy. Pantera/Machine Head like groove metal collide with Biohazard/Sick Of It All hardcore and the result is quite convincing. This is nothing, but “mosh’n’roll”, pure, pumping metalcore without any useless ornament, senseless sophism, just kick ass themes, cutting riffs and raw vocals.
Formed in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA, in 2001, as a side project of the band Hamartia featuring Brendan “Slim†MacDonald – guitar and Mark Castillo – drums and recorded and released their debut album titled “You Had Me At Hello” in March 2002. After several tours, the band break up for a few month, but bass player Rich Casey re-unite Slim, Mark and they bring to the microphone Mat Bruso.

By My Hands – Growing Older Getting Colder (2011)
They said “Too Hardcore for the Metal kids .. and Too Metal for the Hardcore Kids” and this band from Glasgow, Scotland, UK sounds just like – in the most positive sense – any other furious gang from Brooklyn, especially they reminds me of Biohazard. Actually I was afraid of some cheap Metallica copy, you know – “Die by my hand, I creep across the land, Killing first-born man”, but it’s not the case, their 90’s crossover it’s just fucking great, they have groovy riffs, deep growling basses, pounding drums and raw vocals, it’s just bloody nice that they don’t have clean – pussy – vocals and don’t shoot the same boring screamo/metalcore cliches, By My Hands it’s nothing about, but rage and pure unleashed energy. X-Wife – Infectious Affectional (2011)
Juggling between new wave minimalism and retro tastes of the 80’s and post-punk and rock sounds and structures, X-Wife, from Porto, Portugal, since 2002 delivered constantly quality electro music. “Infectious Affectional” is their fourth full-length album.
João Vieira – vocals and guitar, Fernando Sousa – bass and Rui Maia – synth and keyboards bring to the surface the same pulsing and pounding, minimalist and grungy post-punk/dark electro themes, it’s quite retro, but still not dusty, dark and electrifying music.

Daniel Levin – Inner Landscape (2011)
“Inner Landscape” is a solo work by cellist Daniel Levin, released on Clean Feed Records and consist in 6 recordings – landscapes/soundscapes. Tracks 1 and 2 were recorded May 24th, 2009 at Brecht Forum, New York, NY by Robert O’Haire, while tracks 3 to 6 on July 14th, 2009 at The Chateau, Chicago, IL by Brian J. Sulpizio.
Ed Hazell in his liner notes for “Inner Landscape” wrote: Daniel Levin is “a samurai with a calligrapher’s brush in his hand instead of a sword.†And well, Daniel Levin brings six improvising pieces, lead us through moments made of light touch to brutal noise, from abstract fantasies and introspective searches to contorted and abrasive explorations.

DJ Mitsu the Beats – Midnight Roses (2011)
Sleazy, easy and smooth, this might be the perfect background music / soundtrack for some nighttime action, or as the Juno Records PRs put it in different words “the best pulling pants and head off” (music).
DJ Mitsu The Beats is widely regarded as one of Japan’s finest mixing wizards, he’s still largely unheralded in Europe outside the nu-jazz and downtempo hip-hop scenes. Mainly instrumental, but also incorporated pieces cuts from Ceefax, Tony Hart’s Gallery and Barry White, this is a nice, soft and quite refreshing melt-down into the smooth universe of slow-dance, soft-focus jazz-funk, nu-jazz and downtempo, still very classy and subtle, “Midnight Roses” is a joyful trip – preferable for two. 😀 Read more DJ Mitsu the Beats – Midnight Roses (2011)
